APPOINTMENT OF DAVID OWEN – HIGHLAND OPPORTUNITY LTD

 The Highland Council has today announced the appointment of David Owen as the Company Manager of Highland Opportunity Limited, the Council’s enterprise trust company which provides support for small businesses in the Highlands. The appointment is part time and is intended to strengthen the team at Highland Opportunity, better promote its activities and increase service quality.

 

David was formerly the General Manager of the CRINE Network; a forum for improved competitiveness in the oil industry. He is also currently the Industry Director of Nova Technology Fund; an Aberdeen based venture capital fund for small businesses.

 

David Owen said about his new role, ‘I am extremely pleased to be joining Highland Opportunity Limited. Here is an initiative that has provided real help to many small businesses in the North of Scotland over many years, through funding, advice and information. My aim is to lead the company into a stronger position, from where it can deliver an even better service to the Highland economy.’

 

Councillor Sandy Park, Chairman of Highland Opportunity Limited, said
